Policies
✶ Please read carefully ✶
To ensure that operations run smoothly, I adhere to the outlined policies below. It is your responsibility to read and understand this information before placing an order. By placing an order you agree and will act in accordance with my policies.
✶ Customs ✶
I am open to collaborating on custom or special order jewelry. I may not always be able to take on a project, but certainly reach out. :)
✶ Sizing ✶
Due to the handmade nature of my pieces, all ring sizes are final and cannot be altered. Sizing information for each piece can be found in the details section of each listing. I size my rings using an industry standard mandrel of American ring sizes. {A mandrel is a tapered tool you slide your ring onto to check the size.} However, when it comes to a wide band, which I use often for my rings, it may feel more snug than the size it reads on the mandrel. A wide band ring that is technically a size 6 on the mandrel may fit more like a 5 1/2 or 5 3/4, especially for those with a fleshier bottom part of the finger. For this reason, I recommend sizing up slightly - by 1/4 to 1/2 size - when purchasing wide band rings. If you're unsure of your ring size, visit your local jeweler or any shop that sells engagement rings. They'll be able to size you, and in most cases can also specifically size you for a wide band upon request. Necklace lengths are also specified both in the title and details section of each listing.
✶ Shipping ✶
I try to process/ship within 1-3 business days. However, I maintain the right to alter ship times for extenuating circumstances or illness. I am not liable for items lost in the mail, although I will gladly do everything in my power to help you track it down. If you would like to insure your order, please email me after purchase and I will send an additional invoice for the cost. All items ship carefully packaged in decorative boxes ready for gift giving. If you are not in the U.S., please know your country's policies and customs fees, as all international customs forms will have accurate representation of package contents and their value. This may mean you have to pay customs duties or import fees. I have no control over this. Please do not ask me to report a false value of the contents of your package. This is illegal.
✶ Returns ✶
To avoid the need for refunds or exchanges, please read shop listings thoroughly. I very intentionally write clear and concise descriptions that contain all the information necessary to avoid confusion and make an informed purchase. Most issues are easily avoided by a thorough read of the item's listing and examination of the photos. I do not allow returns or exchanges based on wrong size or buyer's remorse. Please know your size and budget and think carefully about your purchase before ordering. All listings include sizes and measurements. If you are truly dissatisfied with your purchase or there was a mistake on my end, please contact me and we can discuss the best option. My goal is your satisfaction, and I'm willing and ready to resolve any issues to the best of my ability.
✶ Jewelry Care ✶
Handmade jewelry is artwork and should be treated as such to ensure its longevity. Please use common sense. Care for your jewelry as you would any precious object. Avoid wet and strenuous activity while wearing jewelry and remove for swimming, showering, applying lotion, playing sports, etc. Various chemicals found in perfume, sprays, and other cosmetics can damage stones and patina, cause spotting on the metal, and amplify tarnish. No polish or patina is 100% permanent, but it can last a very long time with intentional care. Sterling tarnishes with exposure to oxygen and moisture, so store in a dry location, preferably in an airtight bag. Anti-tarnish pouches are also readily available online and in many jewelry stores. To remove tarnish, simply use a polishing cloth. Gently rub your piece with even pressure in the areas you'd like to shine. Avoid digging into intentionally blackened areas, as this will remove purposeful patina. Implement caution when using commercial jewelry cleaning solutions or avoid them entirely, as these can be too harsh and can remove patinas or destroy more porous stones like turquoise, opal, malachite, and coral. Long term exposure to sunlight can increase tarnish and damage or fade the color of certain stones like amethyst, lepidolite, opal, rose quartz, citrine, quartz, turquoise, aquamarine, sapphire, and topaz, to name a few. For this reason, please store your jewels and crystals in shade.
✶ Repairs ✶
I construct my pieces with the utmost care and high quality materials. They are built to last lifetimes, but jewelry occasionally needs some TLC. Should that need arise, please contact me with explanation and photos of the damage or issue. Certain repairs and tune-ups I am happy to take on myself, while others will need to be outsourced to a repair shop. This, along with cost and timeline, is assessed on a case by case basis.
