Let's Get Fired Up With Color!

An Intro to Vitreous Enamel

Join me this spring for a 6 week course at Haywood Community College!

During this course students will explore various ways to create designs with transparent and opaque enamel on copper. You will learn techniques such as under painting, sgraffito, blending, cloisonné and more. Whether you are an experienced metalsmith hoping to add something new to your work, or a newcomer to the medium –this course will be a fun overview of what enameling has to offer. Basic metalsmithing skills will be useful, but not necessary. Open to all skill levels. This is a techniques class; however, you will leave with complete pieces!

Class will take place Wednesday nights, 5:30-9:30pm, 2/21/2 through 3/27/24.

Weekly Workshops at Ignite Jewelry Studios:

My good friend Amy Pike and I take turns teaching the weekly workshops at Ignite Jewelry Studios. Check out the Ignite website calendar to see upcoming class offerings.

Whether you wish to take a class or not, come check out the studio and gallery. We're studio #262 (second floor) at Riverview Station in the heart of Asheville's River Arts District. The building is really cool. Long ago it was a tannery, then a candle factory, then a dog training facility. Over time it became sectioned off for studios. Today 200+ Artists work in the building. Definitely not to be missed if you're in the area. It's an incredible community.
